The workshop venue is Holiday Inn Hotel, Španskih boraca 74, 11070 Belgrade, Serbia.

Holiday Inn hotel is 5 km away from the Belgrade Main Railway Station and Belgrade Main Bus Station. The best ways to get to the hotel are public transport or taxi. Hotel is approximately 5km away from the city center.

FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE VENUE HOTEL

Belgrade Airport “Nikola Tesla” is 14 km away from the hotel. The most convenient way to get from the airport to the hotel is by taxi. Alternative and more cheaper way is to use public bus line No. 72 from the airport to the venue hotel.

IMPORTANT: Do not get the taxi directly, but get the taxi VOUCHER from the official counter as described below. However, if you get into the taxi without a voucher, the ride to the venue hotel (Holiday Inn) should not be more than 1600 RSD (~14 EUR)! Regular taxis must have “TX” at the end of their registration plate.

On arrival in the baggage claim hall you will find a counter marked “Taxi”. You can get a voucher for a taxi there and the cost is 1400 RSD (~12 EUR) to the area where venue hotel is located. The exchange office is also in the baggage claim area, but be aware that the exchange rate there is not favourable, so only exchange the necessary amount. After getting the voucher, you can present it to the taxi driver and pay the fixed price. More info >>

Public bus line No. 72

If you are feeling little more adventurous, you can take the public bus No. 72 (goes approx. every 30 min). You must buy a plastic (BusPlus) ticket at kiosk first (250 RSD), and then top it up with 89 RSD (90 min time-limited ticket), 280 RSD (24h time-limited ticket) or 720 RSD (3 x 24h time-limited ticket). BusPlus ticket should be validated upon entering the bus. The ticket is valid from the first validation and afterwards no more validation is needed whether you change the transportation vehicle or not. Bus station is located at Terminal 1 exit. In order to reach the Holiday Inn hotel you should get off the bus at the station “Španskih boraca” (27th station counted from the airport) and then walk three blocks down the street “Španskih boraca”.

FROM THE BUS AND RAILWAY STATION TO THE VENUE

If you are arriving to Belgrade via bus or train, the most convenient way of getting to the workshop venue is by trams 7, 9L or 13. Trams stations called “Železnička stanica” and “Ekonomski fakultet” are located close to railway and bus stations. Take any of the aforemantioned trams and get off at the stop called “Železnička stanica Novi Beograd” (6th station counted from the “Ekonomski fakultet” station), which is about 500m on foot away from the hotel, under the overpass.

FROM THE CITY CENTER TO THE VENUE

In case you plan to arrive to the workshop from the city center there are couple of options.

First, you can take the public bus No. 67 at the bus stop “Zeleni Venac” and get off at the “Španskih boraca 1” bus stop (8th station counted from “Zeleni Venac”) which is located just few steps from the hotel.

Second, you can go by bus No. 95 from the bus stop “Skadarska” and get off at the “Milutina Milankovića” stop (6th station counted from “Skadarska”). From there approx. 400 m straight down the street is the venue hotel.

FROM THE BULEVAR KRALJA ALEKSANDRA TO THE VENUE

If you are near the Bulevar kralja Aleksandra, the most convenient way of getting to the venue is by BG train (metro look-a-like). You can catch a train at station “Vukov spomenik” (Vuk’s monument). Train leaves every 15 mins and you need to get off at the 3rd station called  “Železnička stanica Novi Beograd” which is 500 m away (one block) from the venue.

FROM THE SLAVIJA SQUARE TO THE VENUE

In case you are located near the Slavija square you can take a tram 9L at the tram station called “Trg Slavija” in the Nemanjina street. You should get off at the 8th stop called “Železnička stanica Novi Beograd” which is 500 m away (one block) from the venue.

CURRENCY

National currency in Republic of Serbia is Serbian dinar (RSD). The average exchange rate for 1 EUR is approximately RSD 123.5. Please note that you should expect few percent less when you buy dinars. Note that exchange rate is subject to change, so check the rate shortly before your travel. There are several exchange offices at the airport, but the exchange rate is usually better in banks and exchange offices in the city centre. You can also get cash from many ATM machines.
